We are Ana and Hrvoje, your hosts, locals who have studied and lived abroad, travel in the off season, but are always happy to return to our beloved Istria, where there’s beauty, peace and lots of work.
We speak English, Italian, Bosnian, Serbian, Slovenian, German and Croatian so we can communicate with guests from all over the world. We love Istria and take pride in making our guests feel at home and doing our best to ensure that their stay is enjoyable, informed, safe and carefree.
One of our biggest passions is cooking. We like to eat well and often cook at home for family and friends, using local ingredients and also love visiting good restaurants and producers that showcase the best of Istrian cuisine. If you're interested, we would be happy to share information about the best restaurants, wineries, beaches, brands, hidden gems, towns and villages, caves, walks, bicycle rides, markets, and farms in the area.
In addition to our love of food, or better said because of it, we try to do a lot of sports, we also have a deep appreciation for nature. Istria is a region of stunning natural beauty, and mild climate, it calls on you to explore the countryside, it’s hills and meadows, rivers. waterfalls, creeks and forests. Running or cycling along it’s dreamy coastline with hidden beaches, cliffs and bays is both the panacea and penance for indulging in savory Istrian cuisine that is simply irresistable. To keep the long story short, if you're interested in hiking, cycling, or simply relaxing in the great outdoors, we can recommend some wonderful places to visit and if you like to eat we have your back too.
